SEQUENCE 3: MAKING PUBLIC GARDENS
The steps are:.... 1. Place public gardens with a total area 7-10% of the total community ground area2. Choose roughly squarish spaces, where they fall among the house lots, among the houses, and at important nodes in streets. Define each one as a garden 3. Plant at least one tree in each garden. Protect the trees with a low wall, raised plinth so they are not destroyed while they are growing 4. Build one working fountain in every garden, and give the fountain fiscal priority, so it is funded, and maintained, before the houses themselves.
