In some cases the "right" order is highly unexpected. Here are some of the aspects of the design sequence which must be done in the right order:

1. The position of the table in the kitchen
2. The character of the kitchen and kitchen windows as they relate to the sky and trees and houses nearby
3. A vital secondary center which provides the room with a human focus
4. Placing the counter in a good relation to the first three centers

If you get these steps in the right order, there is a good chance the kitchen will be comfortable. The windows and the table dominate everything
